The Ethereum Foundation has strengthened its focus on privacy and security by appointing Pascal Caversaccio, co-founder of SEAL 911, to its board. The appointment comes as the organization gives greater weight to these areas in its strategy.

Caversaccio joins the four-member board alongside President Aya Miyaguchi, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, and Swiss counsel Patrick Storchenegger for an initial one-year term. He is a longtime contributor to the Ethereum project and has been involved with the Foundation's Silviculture Society.

The Silviculture Society focuses on censorship resistance, open-source development, privacy, and security. Caversaccio authored The Ethereum Cypherpunk Manifesto in 2024 and Ethereum Privacy: The Road to Self-Sovereignty in 2025.
