Ethereum Foundation Boosts Security with Incident Response Expert
The Ethereum Foundation has appointed pcaversaccio (pc), co-founder of SEAL 911, to its Board of Directors for a one-year, voluntary term. PC is known for his work in incident response and coordination, having helped teams triage live security incidents through SEAL 911's hotline.
This move adds a new voice to the board, which now includes Aya Miyaguchi, Vitalik Buterin, Patrick Storchenegger, and pcaversaccio. The board is responsible for setting tone and priorities for the Ethereum ecosystem, and this appointment signals an emphasis on faster and better-coordinated security decisions.
As a board member, pc will push for funded runbooks, well-cleared communication channels, and faster time-to-patch across clients and app teams. This means that teams can plug into pre-tested pathways when something goes wrong, including who to call, how to freeze, what to disclose, and when.
