Ethereum Foundation Rates 62 Proposals for Hegotá Upgrade Ahead of 2029 Quantum Resistance Deadline
The Ethereum Foundation has released ratings for 62 proposals related to the upcoming Hegotá network upgrade. The ratings were provided by about 60 specialists across nine teams, who gave individual assessments and participated in live discussions to compare technical benefits and development costs.
According to the Ethereum Foundation's Protocol Cluster, December 2029 is the target date for making Ethereum's base layer resistant to quantum computer attacks. Hegotá is currently expected in 2027, after the Glamsterdam upgrade planned for late 2026.
The ratings and proposals will be discussed on September 16 during a Reddit AMA, where Protocol Cluster members will answer questions about the Hegotá ratings and priorities described in the two articles published by the Foundation.
