An Ethereum genesis wallet that had been dormant for over 11 years has reactivated and made a small transaction. The wallet, which received 2,680 ETH during the network's launch in July 2015, sent 0.001 ETH on March 4, 2025.

The original holding of 2,680 ETH was valued at just $830 in 2015, but is now worth around $5.05 million due to the significant appreciation in Ethereum's price. This represents a gain of approximately 608,000% from its initial value.

Analysts caution that such small transactions are often harmless and do not indicate any immediate selling pressure. The reactivation of this wallet highlights the enduring value of early participation in blockchain networks and the importance of on-chain analytics in tracking significant holder behavior.
