Ethereum Golden Cross Looms as ETH Hits $2,500
Ethereum's recent rally has seen it break through the $1,900 region and currently trade at around $2,500. The cryptocurrency crossed both its short- and medium-term moving averages and reclaimed the long-term trend line around $2,150 in a swift move. This alters the technical picture significantly as the trend line had previously served as dynamic resistance for months.
The shorter averages between $1,990 and $2,015 have begun to curve upward, while ETH is currently trading about 16% above them. A bullish element is the emerging golden-cross structure, where a shorter-term moving average crosses above a longer-term one, indicating recent price momentum has outpaced the overall trend.
However, it's essential to exercise caution as Ethereum is in overbought territory, with an RSI of about 76. Additionally, ETH has failed to move decisively above $2,500, $2,550, establishing the first significant short-term resistance zone following the breakout.
