Ethereum Hacker's Questionable Trading Decisions Cost Them $505K
An unknown hacker exploited the Ethereum maximal extractable value (MEV) bot 'jaredfromsubway.eth' in June, making off with $7.7 million.
The bad actor sold a portion of their loot for $3.94 million at an average price of around $1,700 per token.
However, the exploiter had a change of heart and began accumulating Ethereum, purchasing 2,063 tokens at an average price of $1,912 per token just ten hours ago.
This move resulted in a $505,000 loss for the perpetrator, who now holds 264 fewer tokens than they initially received.
