Ethereum Hits Record 25.9 TPS in Q2 Amid Rising Tokenization
Ethereum's Layer-1 network set new usage records in Q2 2026, despite a significant decline in monthly active users. The platform processed 203.9 million transactions during the quarter, marking a 68.4% increase from the same period last year.
This growth was driven by a record average throughput of 25.9 transactions per second and fees that climbed 31.6% to $52.5 million. The remaining users generated significantly more transactions, resulting in higher revenue for Ethereum.
The tokenized asset market also saw significant growth, with an average of $203.1 billion traded during Q2. Stablecoins accounted for $176.8 billion, while tokenized funds reached $20.8 billion, including a record-high $7.5 billion in tokenized U.S. Treasury funds.
Ethereum's staking ratio also hit a new high of 32%, indicating stronger participation in network security. The number of addresses holding ETH climbed 6.6% to 312.1 million, while the price of ETH rose 1.18% over the past 24 hours to $2,538.
