Ethereum Institutional Holdings Surge Past 10%
Ethereum's institutional investment landscape is evolving rapidly, with nearly 11% of its total supply now held by ETFs and digital-asset treasury firms. According to SoSoValue data as of July 1, 2026, these companies collectively control a significant portion of Ethereum's supply.
The corporate holdings of Ethereum are also growing steadily, with CoinGecko tracking 32 companies that hold a combined 7,797,994 ETH, equivalent to about 6.46% of Ethereum's total supply. BitMine Immersion Technologies and SharpLink are among the largest holders, with around 5.79 million ETH and 869,000 ETH respectively.
The growth in corporate Ethereum holdings is driven by a small number of large treasury strategies, which can become persistent sources of demand for ETH. Unlike short-term traders, these firms typically acquire Ethereum as part of a longer-term balance-sheet strategy, potentially reducing the available supply.
