Ethereum Leads Tokenized Funds, but Lags Behind BNB Chain in Tokenized Stocks
Ethereum has been gaining traction among institutional investors in recent months, particularly when it comes to tokenized U.S. Treasury funds. According to a report from Token Terminal, Ethereum's tokenized Treasury funds reached an average market capitalization of $7.5 billion in Q2 2026, up 55.7% from the previous quarter.
This growth was driven largely by regulated asset managers expanding their footprint on Ethereum, with Franklin Templeton's onchain liquidity fund, Ondo Finance's USDY, and BlackRock's BUIDL fund each surpassing $1 billion on the platform by quarter's end.
However, when it comes to tokenized stocks, BNB Chain has overtaken Ethereum in market value. Despite this, partnerships that bring tokenized stocks to investors are now more important in determining market share than the underlying blockchain technology.
