Ethereum Maintains Lead as Top Blockchain Developer Network
Ethereum has maintained its position as the most active blockchain for developers over the past month, despite a decline in development activity across the crypto sector. According to new data from Santiment, Ethereum recorded 263,300 developer activity events during the period, a significant lead over competitors.
Binance Smart Chain (BNB Chain) ranked second with 121,800 developer activity events, followed closely by Polygon and Arbitrum. Solana was the only network among the top performers to post an increase in contributors, rising 1.6% to 377 developers.
The data also shows that layer-2 networks like Optimism and Arbitrum experienced declines of more than 45% in developer activity, while their contributor counts fell by roughly 18%. Ethereum's continued dominance underscores its position as the largest development ecosystem in the industry.
