Ethereum Nears Breakout as Analyst Predicts $3,000 Target
Ethereum is inching closer to a potential breakout above $3,000 as institutional demand and short squeeze dynamics converge in its favor. According to market analyst Ted, a weekly close above $2,550 would validate a bullish structure targeting the $3,000 mark.
The spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded net inflows of $1.185 billion across eight consecutive sessions between August 17 and August 26. The derivatives market saw total liquidations of $149.49 million over the last 24 hours, with $106.48 million corresponding to short positions.
The current weekly candle maintains a provisional gain of 2.98%, but the technical breakout is not formally confirmed until the timeframe closes. Key technical levels place immediate support at $2,500 and potential pullbacks toward the $2,425 line if selling pressure intensifies.
