Ethereum Overtakes XRP Ledger in RLUSD Supply
Ethereum has taken over Ripple's XRP Ledger in terms of RLUSD supply. As per recent data, Ethereum now holds $989.34 million in RLUSD circulating supply, surpassing the $XRP Ledger with $941.36 million.
The shift comes as Ripple continues to adjust RLUSD liquidity across its supported blockchain networks. In the last 24 hours, more RLUSD was minted on Ethereum than on the XRP ledger, with larger activity favoring the former.
On August 20, $73.8 million RLUSD was minted on Ethereum, while only $36.1 million was minted on the XRP Ledger. Similarly, on August 21, $53.2 million RLUSD was minted on Ethereum compared to $12.5 million on the XRP Ledger.
The total circulating supply of RLUSD is now nearing $2 billion, currently at $1.93 billion, marking an all-time high for the stablecoin since its launch in December 2024.
