Ethereum Overtakes XRP Ledger in RLUSD Supply, Circulating Total Nears $2 Billion
Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has seen a significant shift in its circulating supply, with Ethereum now surpassing the XRP Ledger. According to the Ripple stablecoin tracker website, the total RLUSD supply on the XRP Ledger is currently $941.36 million, while Ethereum holds $989.34 million.
This change comes as Ripple adjusts RLUSD liquidity across its supported blockchain networks. In the last 24 hours, more RLUSD was minted on Ethereum than on the XRP ledger, with larger activity in favor of the former.
On August 20, $73.8 million RLUSD was minted on Ethereum, while only $36.1 million was minted on the XRP Ledger. The same pattern continued on August 21, with $53.2 million RLUSD minted on Ethereum and $12.5 million on the XRP Ledger.
The total circulating supply of RLUSD is now nearing $2 billion, reaching an all-time high of $1.939 billion according to the Ripple stablecoin tracker page. RLUSD was launched in December 2024 with support for both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.
