Ethereum Poised to Power AI Payments

Ethereum is poised to become the key payment infrastructure for AI agents, according to Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat. He predicts that Ethereum will surpass traditional financial systems in this role, drawing a comparison with the mobile phone revolution where infrastructure providers gained the most.

Lee highlights blockchain's efficiency for machine-to-machine payments and points to Ethereum's ERC-8183 proposal, which enables escrow payments for AI tasks. Although there is limited current adoption of AI agents, Lee's outlook is supported by his involvement in BitMine Immersion Technologies, a major Ethereum holder.
