Ethereum Prepares for AI-Powered Applications
Ethereum applications are set to undergo significant changes as AI agents become increasingly integrated into the platform.
Traditionally, users interacted with Ethereum applications by manually approving transactions and managing their wallets. However, AI agents could revolutionize this model by allowing software to interact directly with smart contracts, hold assets, and execute tasks under predefined rules.
The Ethereum Foundation has described AI agents as an emerging class of blockchain users capable of trading, paying for services, and interacting autonomously.
With the introduction of AI agents, applications could become intent-based, allowing users to give instructions such as 'move USD 500 into the highest-yielding approved stablecoin strategy while keeping risk below a specified threshold.'
The agent would then analyze markets, interact with several smart contracts, and prepare the necessary transactions automatically.
