Ethereum Price Breaks Key Resistance Zone Amid Bullish Sentiment
Ethereum's price surged this week, breaking above a key trendline and pushing into the $2,450 resistance zone that has capped every rally attempt since May. Analysts are calling for a structural shift in Ethereum's performance against Bitcoin, with some predicting a decade-long rotation into ETH.
Tom Lee of Fundstrat said the rotation is 'nearly a decade in the making,' pointing to the $ETH/$BTC ratio breaking out of a multi-year descending trendline. Other analysts, such as Michaël van de Poppe and borovik, are also bullish on Ethereum's prospects, with some predicting targets as high as $10,000.
Ethereum's derivatives volume climbed 14.84% to $48.17B over the past 24 hours, while open interest rose 2.20% to $31.91B. Positioning is heavily tilted toward longs across major exchanges, with Binance showing more than 2 long positions for every short.
