Ethereum Price Clears Key Averages in Push Toward $2,000
The Ethereum price has made significant gains in recent days, pushing above key averages and nearing $2,000. On Friday, ETH traded at $1,918.26, up 0.74% on the day. This move extends a recovery from the $1,850 area and keeps the weekly gain above 4%. Buyers have repeatedly defended the $1,840-$1,850 region since August, preventing a deeper correction toward July lows.
The Ethereum price has now moved above three daily averages: the 20-day moving average at $1,895.45, the 100-day average at $1,911.42, and the 50-day average at $1,796.09. However, it remains below its 200-day moving average at $2,061.80.
The daily Bull Bear Power reading has returned to positive territory at 32.07, suggesting buyers have regained a modest advantage after bearish pressure briefly returned in August. Renewed demand for US-listed spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and a softer US employment reading have also supported the move.
