Ethereum Price Compresses Near $2,000 as Analysts Anticipate Major Move

Ethereum's price has been consolidating near the $2,000 level, according to analyst CyrilXBT. The token briefly touched $2,400 in mid-March but failed to sustain a rally, leading to a gradual decline toward the 200 EMA at $2,104. This moving average now acts as a key support level.

The price compression near the $2,000 level indicates a possible imminent breakout or breakdown that could define Ethereum's next major move. A daily close above $2,200 would be a crucial sign of strength, while a failure to do so could lead to a test of the $2,000 level.

Analyst Minga views Ethereum as trading within a high-timeframe range defined by its 2021 all-time high and 2022 bear market low. The key inflection point is currently at $2,151, which has served as both support and resistance historically. Rejection from this level keeps downside pressure alive, while reclaiming it could open a path toward the untapped fair value gap at $2,395.
