Ethereum Price Compresses Near $2,000 as Analysts Eye Major Move
Ethereum's price has compressed into a narrow band near $2,000 as declining volatility and fading momentum point to an imminent breakout or breakdown.
The token briefly touched $2,400 in mid-March but has trended lower since. According to analyst CyrilXBT, the rally failed to produce sustained follow-through, and the price has gradually weakened toward the 200 EMA near $2,104.
The moving average now serves as a thin line of defense, with $1,800 acting as critical macro support below and the $2,300-$2,500 zone capping any upside attempts. A daily close above $2,200 would be the first credible sign of strength, while without it, the outlook remains neutral.
Minga's high-timeframe range analysis suggests trading within a defined range between the 2021 all-time high and the 2022 bear market low. The 2021 ATH has been rejected, and $2,151 now acts as a key inflection point, serving both support and resistance historically.
