Ethereum Price Consolidation Ends with Upgrades and ETFs on the Horizon

Ethereum's price has been consolidating around $1,867.48, waiting for a catalyst to break out of its current range. The token has been trading within a tight band between $1,876.06 and $1,828.50, with a nearly flat 24-hour change of +0.05%.

The Ethereum market is technically neutral, with the price wedged inside a compressed moving-average ribbon. The Money Flow Index at 38.57 shows capital still leaning outward, but not reaching the deep oversold territory below 30 that typically marks capitulation.

Analysts believe that upgrades and ETFs could ignite the next ETH surge. The Glamsterdam upgrade is expected as a hard fork in Q3 2026, which will deliver a step-change in scalability with transaction throughput up to ~10,000 transactions per second and gas fees reduced by over 7%.

Ethereum staking continues to tighten the supply picture, with the staking ratio rising to 34.23% of total ETH supply. The staking market cap has climbed above $77 billion, and total staked ETH has jumped to roughly 41 million coins.
