Ethereum Price Drops Amid Weakening Demand
Ethereum (ETH) price has fallen 3.7% from its strongest level since January 31, reaching $2,558 on August 27.
The asset now trades near $2,463 amid a broader market decline that includes precious metals like gold.
Short-term data suggests cooling ETH demand as spot Ethereum ETFs saw their largest single-session inflow of 2026 on August 27, but then took in just $102.2 million two days later and $87.7 million by August 31.
Trading volume across the products contracted alongside the flows, with turnover dropping from $1.37 billion on August 28 to $742 million on August 31, according to SoSo Value data.
