Ethereum Price Drops Amid Yearly Volatility
Ethereum's price has declined by $38.98 from yesterday to $2,500.52 at 9:15 a.m. Eastern Time, marking a significant drop of approximately $1,960 over the past year.
This decline is part of Ethereum's yearly volatility, which has seen it trade at $4,459.55 one year ago and $1,874.06 a month ago. However, compared to its ICO price in 2014, Ethereum has skyrocketed by over 60,000%.
Ethereum remains the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, valued at around $233 billion, behind Bitcoin's $1.33 trillion and ahead of Tether's $183 billion. Its decentralized computing platform allows users to build applications without relying on centralized authorities, making it a popular choice for various activities.
