Ethereum Price Faces Bearish Sentiment Amid Historical Rebound Patterns
Ethereum's price has been under pressure as social sentiment across major crypto platforms dropped to one of its weakest levels in recent weeks.
However, historical data from Santiment showed that similar periods of growing pessimism have previously been followed by short-term price recoveries.
The firm reported that Ethereum's positive-to-negative social commentary ratio turned bearish for the third time within the past month. This follows previous instances on June 27 and July 11, where bearish sentiment was followed by a 14% increase in Ethereum's price over the next seven days and a 7% gain during the following four days respectively.
Ethereum's technical indicators also showed moderate buying strength, with the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remaining in positive territory and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) staying above the neutral 50 mark. Despite weakening social sentiment, Ethereum continues to show signs of underlying resilience, driven by steady ETF demand and protocol development.
