Ethereum Price Faces Resistance at Key Level
Ethereum's (ETH) recent price surge has stalled, and the cryptocurrency is now showing signs of running out of short-term steam. With a current price of around $2,501, ETH is trading near overbought conditions, according to technical indicators such as RSI and Stochastic.
The MACD histogram is sitting at zero, indicating that buying and selling pressure are currently balanced. Retail traders are 70.3% long, while top traders are only 57.4% long, a gap between crowd and smart money that suggests the market may be due for a correction.
A pullback to the $2,426-$2,463 support zone is seen as the most likely move over the next 5-10 days, with a probability of 65%. If this zone holds, the path towards $2,552 and eventually $2,731 remains open. However, there's also a possibility that ETH could push through $2,552-$2,604 without a dip first, requiring a broader market catalyst.
