Ethereum Price Nears $2,530 Resistance as $300M in ETH Leaves Exchanges
Ethereum's price is facing a crucial test as it nears the $2,530 resistance level. In recent days, over 116,000 ETH, worth approximately $300 million, have been withdrawn from centralized exchanges. This sharp reduction in exchange reserves has led some market observers to anticipate a significant move in ETH's price.
According to analyst Ali Charts, this aggressive contraction in on-exchange supply increases the potential for a major price shift. The analyst noted that not all withdrawals represent investors planning to hold their assets long-term, as tokens could be moved for various reasons such as staking or alternative custodial solutions.
Ethereum is currently trading at $2,491.44, carrying a market capitalization of $304.01 billion and generating a 24-hour trading volume of $20.74 billion. The asset's price slipped 0.15% in the previous 24 hours, but it remains above the key resistance zone.
Technical analysis suggests that Ethereum is stuck between well-defined support and resistance levels. Ali Charts identified the $2,530-$2,540 range as a significant resistance area, with the cryptocurrency facing repeated rejection at those prices. A confirmed breakout above $2,530 would likely enhance the near-term outlook for bulls.
