Ethereum Price Prediction Contract Launched by Robinhood
Rather than predicting a specific price for Ethereum on July 28, 2026 at 10am EDT, Robinhood is offering a contract that allows users to bet on whether the price will be above or below certain thresholds. The contract is based on CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), which collects 60 prices at the last minute before expiration and averages them for the official final value.
There are four possible outcomes, with different payouts: if the price is $1,870 or above, users will receive 98¢ per contract; if it's between $1,865 and $1,870, they'll get 98¢; if it falls between $1,845 and $1,865, they'll receive 95¢; and if it drops below $1,845, the payout is 3¢. The maximum payout for users who correctly predict a price above $1,890 is also 3¢.
The contract prohibits certain individuals from trading on it, including those employed by CF Benchmarks or other related companies. Users should be aware that event contracts involve significant risk and may not be suitable for everyone.
