Ethereum Price Prediction Contract Launched by Robinhood Derivatives
Rather than making predictions about future price movements of popular cryptocurrencies, Robinhood Derivatives is offering a contract on Ethereum's (ETH) predicted value at a specific date and time. On Aug 10, 2026 at 8pm EDT, the price of ETH will be determined to see if it reaches certain thresholds. The event resolution uses CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), averaging 60 collected prices within one minute before expiration.
The contract allows investors to buy and sell contracts representing possible price outcomes. If an investor predicts correctly that ETH's price exceeds a specific threshold, they will receive $1 for each contract owned, with additional fees applying. Conversely, traders can close their positions before the event resolves.
Trading on the contract is prohibited for certain individuals, including those employed by Source Agencies or holding material non-public information about Ethereum. The contract's terms and conditions should be carefully reviewed to understand the risks involved, as event contracts involve significant risk and may not be suitable for everyone.
