Ethereum Price Prediction Markets See 31% Chance of $3,500 Target
Ethereum's price has been on an upward trend over the last month, increasing by 32% according to CoinGecko. However, the question remains whether this momentum can continue into another leg higher.
Robinhood's prediction market gives Ethereum a 31% chance of reaching $3,500 before January 1, 2027. This target is seen as an important near-term test for the broader $3,500 price outlook. To reach this level, Ethereum would need to reclaim $3,124 and then gain another 12%, making it about 41% above its current price.
Analyst forecasts give a much wider range than Robinhood's prediction market suggests. Tom Lee has put Ethereum at $6,000 by December 2026, but this target depends on Bitcoin reaching $150,000. CoinDCX is more conservative in the near term, targeting $2,800 for September and $2,950 for October.
The Glamsterdam upgrade has been pushed from June to the fourth quarter of 2026, leaving a major potential catalyst for Ethereum's next move running behind schedule. However, institutional demand could provide another source of support, with BitMine holding 5.9 million ETH as of September 2026 after 65 consecutive weeks of buying.
