Ethereum Price Predictions: Data-Driven Estimates for 2030
As Ethereum continues to grow and mature as a cryptocurrency, several predictions have been made about its price by 2030. While some of these predictions are based on hype, others rely on data and numbers. One such prediction is from VanEck's analyst Matthew Sigel, who estimates that Ethereum will be priced at $11,800 by 2030.
This prediction is based on the assumption that Ethereum will cement its status as the dominant global settlement network and scale accordingly. The firm's model anticipates Ethereum capturing a massive chunk of traditional finance applications, alongside an explosion in smart contract utility.
Another key factor to consider is fee revenue. While fees have decreased since the Dencun upgrade, on-chain figures and monthly active users have increased significantly. Under a high-growth scenario, CoinShares models estimate that Ethereum's fee revenue could reach $5.7 billion by 2031.
Staking yields are also an important factor to consider. Staking involves validators locking up their ETH to secure the network and earn newly minted tokens alongside unburnt transaction fees. This has redefined the asset's investment profile, making it a yield-bearing instrument that attracts institutional investors.
