Ethereum Price Soars 17.7% as Whales Stack ETH and Institutional Investors Flock
Ethereum's price surge has garnered significant attention from analysts and investors alike. According to recent data, the asset saw a 17.7% increase in value over the past 24 hours, reaching a high of $2,318.66.
The move was accompanied by increased whale activity, with several large wallets withdrawing Ethereum from Binance. One such wallet, 0x2d59, withdrew 30,000 ETH worth approximately $67.42 million in the past three weeks alone.
Institutional investors also played a role in driving up demand for Ethereum. BlackRock's ETHA ETF attracted a whopping $122.12 million in inflows on August 19, while Fidelity's FETH and Grayscale's Ethereum ETF saw respective net inflows of $36.54 million and $16.04 million.
Market analyst Michael Van de Poppe noted that Ethereum's recent price action is part of a bullish market trend, with potential retracements offering buying opportunities for investors. However, it's essential to remember that no technical indicator can reliably predict future cryptocurrency prices.
