Ethereum Price Soars Over $2.4K After 60,000% Surge Since ICO
The Ethereum network has seen significant price fluctuations in recent years, with its value surging from just 31 cents per share in 2014 to over $2,477.23 as of September 15, 2026.
This represents a total increase of more than 60,000% since the initial coin offering (ICO) and a respectable 46% gain over the past five years.
However, Ethereum's price has also experienced sharp downturns, including a significant drop in early 2026 due to concerns about recession and Vitalik Buterin's sale of millions of dollars' worth of ETH.
Ethereum's decentralized computing platform allows users to develop and operate applications without the involvement of companies or banks, giving it a unique position in the cryptocurrency market.
