The surge followed a strong US spot ETF inflow of $697.2 million during the week ending August 21, and a historic short squeeze that amplified the initial move.

However, Ethereum's next move depends on whether it can break through the liquidity wall at $2,550, according to analyst Daan Crypto Trades.
