Ethereum Price Stuck at $1,900 as Flag Pattern Forms
Ethereum's price has been stuck between $1,830 and $1,930 due to declining trading volumes. Since late July, these volumes have dropped nearly 50%, indicating market uncertainty amidst macroeconomic concerns and lack of bullish news.
A flag pattern has formed after a breakout above $1,800, suggesting a potential continuation of the rally if volumes increase and ETH breaks above $1,930. If this happens, Ethereum could reach $2,500 in the near term, surpassing its long-term trend and facing strong resistance along the way.
However, current low volumes and neutral market sentiment mean the rally's strength remains uncertain. The proposal to remove Ethereum staking rewards if staked ETH exceeds half of circulating supply also faces opposition from DeFi leaders like Aave CEO Stani Kulechov, who argue it would disrupt institutional adoption and reduce yield predictability.
