Ethereum Price Stuck in Range as Momentum Fades

Ethereum's price remains stuck between $2,400 support and $2,500 resistance on September 1, with weak trend strength and fading momentum raising the risk of another liquidity-driven pullback.

The token has retreated from an August 27 high near $2,564 after buyers failed to extend its late-August breakout. Trading activity has cooled down, with Ethereum's 24-hour volume falling by about 21% to approximately $11.35 billion.

A daily close above $2,500 would favor buyers, while a loss of $2,400 would weaken the breakout structure and expose $2,340 as a key risk area. Persistent ETF inflows suggest US investors are adding exposure despite Ethereum's failure to move above $2,500.
