Ethereum Price Surges 26% to $2.5K Amid Whale Sell-Off and Staking Demand
Ethereum's price surged by 26% this week, reaching $2.5K after a significant drop in whale holdings.
According to Santiment, Ethereum's largest whale wallets holding over 1,000 ETH trimmed their exposure by 2.9% since May, selling off 1.7M coins.
This selling pressure was offset by staking and ETF demand, with staked ETH increasing from 39M to a record 42.3M coins, or a 35% staking ratio.
The Spot Ethereum ETF complex has become a net buyer since July, hauling in record inflows of over 34K ETH this week alone.
