Ethereum's mainnet has successfully upgraded to Fusaka, its largest network upgrade of 2025. The Fusaka hard fork went live on December 3rd and brought significant improvements to data capacity and user experience.

The upgrade centers around two key technical changes: PeerDAS restructures data handling across nodes, increasing the network's ability to process transactions by eight times through rollups. Additionally, new cryptographic tools aim to speed up transaction processing and improve wallet interactions, particularly for mobile users.

In response to the upgrade, Ethereum's price has jumped, while corporate buyer BitMine announced a $150 million Ether acquisition on December 4th. This purchase brings BitMine closer to its stated target of holding 5% of ETH's circulating supply.

Analysts are now watching as Ethereum tests resistance between $3,050 and $3,150. If this level holds, the next price target could be near $3,650 to $3,700. A breakdown would likely send ETH back toward $2,630 or even lower, with support around $2,400.
