Ethereum Price Surges to $2,448 Ahead of Crucial Upgrade
The Ethereum price has surged to $2,448 in recent days, fueled by anticipation of the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade. This upgrade is expected to make Ethereum faster, cheaper, and more scalable. According to Claude AI's predictions, if Glamsterdam is delivered on schedule, the Ethereum price could reach $3,800 or even $4,000 by year-end 2026.
The upgrade has already been tested on the Platåberget public testnet and is set for mainnet release in Q4. Treasury demand for Ethereum has also increased, with BitMine adding 9,926 ETH to its holdings, pushing its total to 5.82 million ETH, or around 4.8% of supply.
However, not all experts are optimistic about the future of Ethereum. LiquidChain suggests that a bigger constraint on the Ethereum price is the interchain dynamics between chains. Additionally, some analysts warn that a delay in the Glamsterdam upgrade could break $1,860 support and send the Ethereum price plummeting to $1,500.
