Ethereum Proposal Targets Validator Rewards in Decentralization Push
A new Ethereum proposal seeks to reduce staking incentives by burning validator rewards.
The proposal, which has not been implemented yet, would see a portion of the rewards earned by validators being burned, rather than being paid out in Ether (ETH).
This move is aimed at reducing the staking incentives and making it less profitable for users to stake their ETH. The idea behind this proposal is to promote decentralization by making it more difficult for large-scale operators to dominate the network.
