Ethereum Ratio Hits 7-Month High as Bitcoin Dominance Surges
The Ethereum (ETH) to Bitcoin (BTC) ratio has reached a 7-month high near 0.0334, after breaking out of a long-term declining channel.
This development is significant because it suggests that capital is rotating into Ethereum, rather than concentrating in Bitcoin at the expense of other altcoins.
However, this optimism is tempered by the fact that Bitcoin dominance has also increased, reaching 60.15% last week and clearing a descending trendline drawn from the June 2025 high.
The Altcoin Season Index, which tracks how many top 50 coins have beaten Bitcoin over 90 days, currently sits at 39, down from 67 in early August. This suggests that an altcoin season is unlikely in the current bull run.
