Ethereum Reclaims Downtrend, $3,000 Breakout Gains Momentum
Ethereum ($ETH) has reclaimed its long-term downtrend after trading above $1,900. This puts the $3,000 level back in focus for analysts and traders alike.
Crypto analyst Kaleo does not expect Ethereum to break above $3,000 until 2027 but acknowledges that he would be happy to be proven wrong. He describes the current market as 'painfully boring' for spot traders, likening it to the calm before a larger move.
Kaleo also notes that Ethereum still needs to hold above key support levels before a sustained breakout can be confirmed. The $1,800-$1,900 range remains the nearest support zone, and as long as $ETH closes above $1,510 on the daily timeframe, the broader bullish structure remains intact.
Other analysts, including Michaël van de Poppe and Ali Martinez, are more optimistic about Ethereum's prospects. Van de Poppe suggests that if the current trend continues, $ETH could move toward the $2,300-$2,500 range. Martinez notes improving technical signals, including Ethereum turning bullish after moving above its Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) 0.8 Pricing Band at $1,800.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel predicts that Ethereum could eventually reach $5,000, although that view depends on continued market strength. Analysts generally agree that Ethereum's market structure has improved compared with earlier this year.
