Ethereum Reclaims Triangle Breakout Zone Amid Growing Institutional Demand
Ethereum is trading at $1,914.37 on August 19, down 0.12%, as it retests a confirmed triangle breakout near the 100-day EMA.
The Ethereum price prediction has turned constructive today, with ETH retreating to support levels near $1,900-$1,920 after breaking above a descending resistance line of a symmetric triangle that's been building since early July.
Fundstrat's Tom Lee notes that Ethereum sits about 3.5% below a technical level it hasn't broken since October 2025.
The growing institutional demand for Ethereum is evident in the market and on-chain flows, with Ethereum ETFs drawing $71.47M on August 18, while Bitcoin ETFs recorded a $389.71M outflow the prior week.
