Ethereum Roadmap Gets Quantum-Resistant Overhaul
Vitalik Buterin has updated Ethereum's roadmap to a three-layered structure. The new plan separates functionality into execution, data, and consensus layers for $ETH ($1,873.31 · Live). This change aims to address the risk of quantum computing compromising Ethereum's security.
PQ operations and new cryptographic tools are being integrated into the protocol to mitigate this threat. Additionally, Vitalik Buterin is planning to expand the role of artificial intelligence in verifying transactions on the network.
The updates come as part of ongoing efforts to improve Ethereum's scalability and resilience. The changes will have a significant impact on the development trajectory of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
