Ethereum Sandwich Bot Loses $7.5M in Latest MEV Exploit

An Ethereum sandwich bot known as JaredfromSubway.eth has been exploited by an attacker to drain $7.5 million from it in June 2026. The bot, which extracted over 117,000 ETH (about $295 million) since March 2023, was tricked into approving malicious contracts using 66 fake token contracts.

This incident highlights the risks in Ethereum's MEV ecosystem, where transaction ordering can be exploited for profit. Despite a decline in sandwich attacks due to protective tools, the system remains vulnerable until upcoming protocol upgrades like Glamsterdam introduce stronger safeguards.
