Ethereum Secures Institutional Funding, Eyes Broader Adoption Amid Bearish Momentum
Ethereum's institutional funding round has come to a close, marking an important milestone in the platform's journey towards broader adoption. Co-founders Joseph Lubin and Mihai Alisie led the effort, partnering with BitMNR and Sharplink to secure participation from crypto-native institutions.
The round aimed to accelerate institutional adoption on Ethereum, as emphasized by Charles d'Haussy, who noted that deliberate alignment is key rather than relying on chance. The funding will support real work from aligned teams, including those led by Marius Smith, David Walsch, and Ismi Matthew.
Meanwhile, technical analysis suggests a bearish momentum for Ethereum's price action. The 4-hour chart shows ETH trading at $1895.36 within the Bollinger Bands, with upper resistance at $1972.53 and lower support at $1862.18. The EMA50 at $1899.39 acts as immediate resistance, while the EMA200 at $1819.41 provides longer-term support.
