Ethereum Sees Record Usage Amid Decline in Active Users
Ethereum's usage has reached new heights despite seeing a significant drop in active users. According to Token Terminal data, Ethereum processed 203.9 million transactions during Q2 2026, marking a 68.4% increase from the same period last year.
However, the number of monthly active users declined by 30% quarter over quarter to 9.2 million. As a result, the remaining users generated significantly more transactions, with fees climbing 31.6% to $52.5 million and ETH burn revenue more than doubling to $17.1 million.
Ethereum's tokenized asset market also saw significant growth during Q2, averaging $203.1 billion. Stablecoins accounted for $176.8 billion of this figure, while tokenized funds reached $20.8 billion. Tokenized U.S. Treasury funds hit a record average of $7.5 billion.
Ethereum's staking ratio also reached a new high of 32%, indicating stronger participation in network security. The number of ETH-holding addresses climbed 6.6% to 312.1 million.
