Ethereum Sellers Outpace Buyers as Price Capped Near $2,500
Ethereum's mid-tier holders have been selling off their holdings in recent weeks, with over 307K ETH sold last week alone. This is a significant amount of Ether, outpacing the 82K ETH bought by large holders during the same period.
The selling pressure has led to a sharp decline in ETF inflows, which fell from $824M to just $218.4M. This suggests that institutional demand for Ethereum has weakened significantly.
Despite this, Ethereum's price remains capped at around $2,495, unable to break through the key resistance level of $2,500. The critical support level is still at $2,475, where heavy trading occurred in the past.
The tight supply of Ether has been alleviated slightly by a drop in exchange reserves, which fell by over 116K ETH. However, this may not be enough to limit immediate sell pressure, and Ethereum's momentum will likely depend on renewed buying interest to avoid further declines.
