Ethereum Slips Below $2,400 Amid Geopolitical Tensions and Rising Treasury Yields
Ethereum's price has slipped to around $2,414, down 2.3% over the past 24 hours and putting pressure on the $2,400 level.
The decline comes as geopolitical tensions rise, with renewed fighting between the US and Iran pushing investors away from risk assets.
Brent crude has climbed above $95 per barrel, while the US 10-year Treasury yield reached its highest level since November 2023 at around 4.81%.
Rising Treasury yields increase the return available from government debt, and a stronger dollar can reduce demand for risk assets including cryptocurrencies like Ethereum.
