Ethereum Slumps 62% but Remains Dominant in Tokenized Markets

Ethereum's price has dropped significantly since reaching an all-time high of nearly $5,000 in August 2025, falling to around $1,900 at the time of writing. The crypto market as a whole is experiencing a downturn, but some investors see this as a buying opportunity.

Ethereum dominates tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), decentralized finance (DeFi), and stablecoins, with 70% of RWA deposits for RWA-backed lending on its network. The platform also has the largest developer community and user base, giving it a significant advantage over competitors like Solana.

However, Ethereum faces stiff competition from other blockchains, particularly in the DeFi space. Regulatory concerns, such as the delay of the Clarity Act, also pose a risk to the cryptocurrency's growth.
