Ethereum Stakes Soar as Bitmine's Treasury Surpasses $10B
Strategy Inc. (MSTR) and Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) saw their stocks rise after revealing significant digital asset holdings, highlighting a trend in which companies' treasury sizes are increasingly influencing their equity value.
The company Strategy repurchased $1.5 billion of its 2029 convertible notes at an 8% discount, reducing debt from $8.2 billion to $6.7 billion. This move was part of the company's effort to manage its finances and strengthen its balance sheet.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies, on the other hand, disclosed that it holds a total of $12.3 billion in crypto, cash, and strategic holdings. The figure is anchored by 5.39 million Ether (ETH), which represents approximately 4.47% of the total Ethereum supply and is worth around $11.5 billion at current prices.
Bitmine's CEO, Tom Lee, stated that as of Monday, the company had staked 4.71 million ETH, making it the largest institutional owner of Ethereum. The company projects annualized staking revenues of $276 million based on a 2.75% seven-day yield generated on the Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN) platform.
