Ethereum Staking Hits New Highs Amid Investor Confidence
The Ethereum validator exit queue has seen a significant change in recent months, going from a record 45-day wait to zero ETH waiting to be unstaked. This shift is attributed to investors' confidence in Ethereum's long-term outlook and their willingness to wait for staking rewards.
Last year, the exit queue was at its peak, with validators forced to wait up to 45 days before withdrawing their holdings. However, Vitalik Buterin defended this extended period as an important element of the network's defense.
Today, the opposite is true, with over 2.5 million ETH waiting to enter staking, resulting in an estimated activation delay of nearly 44 days. This imbalance indicates that investors are willing to wait for a month and a half to begin earning staking rewards on their ETH holdings.
